How to Check Your Mac's macOS Version

What you need: A Mac.

1. Click the Apple menu (the Apple logo) in the upper-left corner of the screen.
2. Click About This Mac.
3. Find macOS in the window. Read the name and number beside or below it, such as macOS Sonoma 14.7.
4. Write down that name and number, then close the window using the red button in its upper-left corner.

Expected result: You have the macOS name and version number shown by your Mac. If the number is 13 or higher, lessons marked "macOS Ventura 13 or later" work on your Mac.
